This week has been good, busy but at the same time somewhat relaxing. When I was pregnant with Lucy I worked beyond full time on my feet the whole time and started work at 4:30 in the morning. I really felt exhausted at the end of my work day, I always wondered what it would be like to not work ;) Well.. add a baby in the mix and well.. it feels about the same, add a teething baby whose cutting molars, almost worse.. ;)
It's really not all that bad, It's just been a rough couple days...
So this past week I went to my regular OB appointment and it went great. I suffer from Migraines in the 2nd trimester and I cannot wait to till they go away. It's all day everyday and 100% miserable. So my doctor prescribed me something to take if they get really bad. Usually Tylenol does the trick or at least takes the edge off. Other than that all my levels and numbers were great. His nurse said that I looked 200 times better than the last appointment. We got to hear the babies heart beat for the first time (did it take this long with the first?) and my Dr felt the baby and said that the bump I am carrying is definitely baby.. even though I always feel like it's just me.. We ended up scheduling our next appointment and gender ultrasound in about 3 weeks we are soooo excited and will definitely be finding out the gender.
One funny moment this week... Before hubby left for work he was sitting on the couch with me, and he looks over at me and asked how did you sleep and I said "oh, okay" and he goes how come? and I said "I'm pregnant.." I then asked him how he slept and he goes "okay.." and I said why and he goes "because you're pregnant.." I died laughing.. maybe it was just too early in the morning ;)
How far along: 17 Weeks!
Total weight gain: 2 lbs - rounding up since appointment ;)
Maternity clothes: Ordered a pair of Maternity Jeans, and have been wearing my maternity tank tops from target. Other than that just mixing and matching!
Stretch marks: Nothing yet, but have started the cocoa butter and Oil a couple weeks ago and do it morning and night ;) I swear it helps and the oil feels so good ;)
Sleep: Sleep is good ;) usually get up once to go pee because I drink a ton of water before bed!
Best moment of this week: Feeling the baby move!
Miss anything: Running, free time to work out ;)
Movement: Quite a bit of movement this week!
Food cravings: Still M&M's lets go baby... I need to switch to something else ;)
Anything making you queasy or sick: my migraines :((
Have you started to show yet: Yeah, not crazy but showing!
Gender: Not sure yet!
Labor signs: Braxton Hicks already.. It was quite scary!
Belly button in or out: IN
Wedding rings on or off: On and hoping Santa brings more ;) bahaha total joke I swear I am not that conceded
Happy or moody most of the time: So, so... Really down about the migraines and just being sick for like the past 11 weeks.. :(
Looking forward to: Feeling better!! I am in desperate need for these migraines to go away!!
I was thinking about you yesterday because I was talking to my primary care physician during Claire's one year well visit and I was explaining my headaches to him and he mentioned having my blood checked again. He said low iron levels can cause headaches in pregnancy. I did read that your levels were fine but I wasn't sure if you were talking about blood work and whatnot. Just a thought :) Happy 17 weeks pretty girl. I'm loving that BABy BUMP! MUAH!!
ReplyDeleteI will definitely ask! I know that they only do urine and weight, and blood pressure ect. He didn't seem to have any concerns to take a blood draw, I guess I could always supplement iron just in case! I know I'm not getting the proper amount of nutrients so it wouldn't surprise me! Thank you sweets!!! I hope you are feeling back to your normal self xoxo you look soo cute!!! I just love going through pregnancy together again! :)
