Okay so this week went by very fast! Being pregnant over the holidays definitely has pros and cons. A big pro is that it makes the pregnancy fly by. A big con is, I feel like I've gained weight quicker and have indulged in way too many sweets. There are many more pros and cons to being pregnant through the holidays, but those two stick out the most right now.
We are just one week away from the 3rd trimester. WHAHH?? How did that happen?
Now that Christmas is over (and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it), we are ready to dive into preparing for baby girl. We have a lot to do. Like I have said many times before we are hoping that by February/March we an find a house to buy. We've been looking non stop since about September and have had no luck. We are completely hopeful that the right house is out there, it's just going to take some more patience. While we wait for our house we can't really get her nursery ready ;) But we are planning a trip to Ikea in January to stock up on household essentials for us, Lucy and baby girl. Once we take that trip and get a few items we really wont have much to do besides wait for the right house, and once we find our house we will hit the ground running. I am going to try to keep things simple around that time, I am not going to flip out if baby girls nursery isn't put together or our picture frames are not hung, I am simply just going to enjoy having enough space for all 4 of us ;)
With ALL that said... This week was a blur I really enjoyed Christmas and the gift of knowing I am carrying such a precious gift, and I am so thankful each and every day for a healthy pregnancy. There is seriously nothing greater than the gift of pregnancy and motherhood. Yes times get hard, and you feel like you want to walk out the door for a few minutes just to get away from it all, but I've realized just how important those moments are. It is our actions and attitudes that shape our children's attitudes and future actions. Another new years resolution of mine is to put the focus back on Lucy and my hubby. I need to be way better at cooking for Lucy and hubby, as well as making it a priority to stay consistent in my discipline. I've only got a few months left with just me and Lucy so I am hoping to make them count :)
