Easter 2015

We had a lovely Easter. Easter is one of those Holidays where your heart just smiles. At least for me it does. Any Holiday with your kiddos makes your heart smile, but the pure joy and excitement of Easter & getting together with family is just pure sweetness. We actually celebrated Easter on Saturday so Alex could be home with us. We found an egg hunt & I am not sure who was more excited for it, me or the girls. I absolutely love this type of festive community events. There's always plenty of laughs and jokes between Alex and I ;)

After the egg hunt lucy kept saying, I need to sit.. poor thing was exhausted ;)

The girls were a fabulous tag team. Ellie would try to shove every single piece of candy in her mouth and then Lucy would follow behind her and put what she took out in her basket. At one point Ellie was sprawled out over a section of grass and Lucy was just picking up candy. Next year I expect nothing less from this duo ;) After the Egg Hunt we went home for naps, then woke up and went to church for Saturday night service. There was no nursery for them so we had all four of us (my parents & Alex's mom) trying to entertain them the entire time. I packed at least a dozen different snacks and just basically kept feeding them into ellie's hands like a machine, we just passed her down the line of us like an assembly line, it was quite comical. Lucy did surprisingly well they had coloring packets for the kiddos and that lasted about 15 min ;) they both lasted an hour and then they tanked, and we walked outside and waiting for church to end. It was such a lovely day filled with faith, family & food. What could be better.

Sunday we loaded up and went first thing to Alex's moms house for a morning of visiting & a little egg hunt. We LOVE going to their house. After that we came home for naps & then rushed out to the station to give Daddy a visit in our Easter best. The girls absolutely adore being at the station. It is their favorite place, they both get giddy when we go. Lucy has to run and hop into the engines as soon as we get there. She's all business.

After the station we loaded up AGAIN and went to my parents house for Easter Dinner. It was such a lovely evening filled with wonderful beautiful food, and family. My mom got them little Easter Baskets and they absolutely adored them. Ellie was being a little ham and walking around with a ducky in her mouth.

Waiting for Ellie to wake up so we can get the festivities rolling

All in all Easter 2015 was so much fun. Filled with wonderful memories & wonderful family. We hope you had a lovely Easter as well.
