The Weekend

We had such a fun jam packed weekend. I love when I know going into the weekend that it is going to be filled to the brim. I had cleaned our house really well on Thursday and Friday and got all our laundry done (for the day) and put away so we could just have fun this weekend.

We've been hitting up all the parks lately and trying to find new ones every week. Or at least jump to different parks all week long it really keeps all of us sane with Alex working a bit extra.

Thursday we went on a little ice cream date to our favorite spot. It's so peaceful and the kids love to sit and eat their ice cream :)

On Saturday we had a garage sale. I thought it was going to be super fun, and maybe it was at times. But prepping took all week, setting up took all morning and tearing down and loading everything into Alex's truck took the whole afternoon. It's way more work than I even imagined. I also am realizing that social setting for me is very uncomfortable. I dig chatting and hanging out a lot but a whole day of small talk was a bit overwhelming for me. I am outgoing an will tell a random stranger every detail about my life but in moderation ;) The second half of the day Alex took over and I had no problem wrangling the kiddos and making food ;) I sound like a terrible person. I swear I love people just maybe for less hours.

Sunday we took a lake day, seems like everyone else did too ;) But it was such a nice day and we paddle boarded for HOURS! It was so peaceful! I had no idea the lake would be so packed. We usually go in may and we're the only one's there. Maybe because it was a Sunday or maybe because it was almost 90 degrees but it was so packed.
