5 Weeks Old

Miss Lucy Jo is 5 weeks old today, and time is flying by. I think partially because we are up so much throughout the day that days seem so short. Lucy is becoming more and more alert as the weeks progress. She is sitting in her little bumbo and holding her head up without any help. I swear she is going to be walking before we know it : ) She is getting better with sleeping at night although she has her nights when she wants to eat every 2 hours. Guess I cant complain it could be worse. She is starting to really get a strong grip, she threw her pacifier on the ground yesterday, seems like everyday she is changing and growing and getting bigger. I cannot wait to look back on all these and reminisce on how she changed!

We introduced the bottle this week, our pediatrician asked us to wait till 4 weeks to start just to get her use to brestfeeding, but let me tell you having the bottle is so nice. Daddy can finally help out. All those "I just wish there was something I could do.." comments are coming back to haunt him ;) He's a natural at it ;)

I have my 6 week check up next week, and I am so ready to hear the words you can run again. I cannot wait to go for a nice crisp fall run with my Lucy girl. I am starting to feel back to normal again and that would definitely put the icing on the cake for me!
