Clean Start

My Hubby and I both LOVE to cook. I am sure if he wasn't a firefighter he would be a chef. I am more of a baker (especially sweets) when it comes to cooking. Before I got pregnant with Lucy we both ate fairly well, zero processed foods, hardly any sugar, no dairy or breads. But once I got pregnant and my nausea got the best of me all I craved was comfort foods, mac & cheese, french fries chocolate milk, cookies you name it and I ate it : ) We haven't quite curbed that habit yet but we are super ready to. Especially before the holidays. We have so many great recipes and all the means to make the food, its just going to take dedication and motivation.

My goal is to make one recipe from my Taste board on pinterest a week. Its not going to be very easy but it will be well worth it. We are also running most days out of the week, as long as the whether permits as well as doing some workouts around the house. We are super excited and we don't want to fall back into our comfort food habit like we do 90% of the time we say we are going to eat better. I am pretty sure one time we decided to eat better when we were out to dinner and then after we left we found ourselves indulging in frozen yogurt :) lets hope we can stick to it this time! I will share with you what we make and how we liked it!!

We started this morning making these Ham & Egg Cups. The recipe is on my pinterest board under taste Called Ham & Egg Cups. Although We used turkey breast instead of ham but you can use whichever you prefer.

Here is the picture they are very tasty and only about 150 calories

We didn't use the scallions either.. Only because we didn't have any :)

On a side note our house is gearing up for the holidays!! (aka my favorite time of year) I have a ton of crafts (from pinterest once again) that I cannot wait to start! My hubby is so thrilled ;)

Our chalkboard usually has something festive on it, this year its a mix between thanksgiving and Christmas. The holidays are amazing and I can't even imagine how awesome it is going to be with our baby girl this year : )

  1. aw so good for you! I definitely didn't eat healthy for the first few weeks of pregnancy...I was so sick! But i did the bradley/blue ribbon baby eating plan from 14 weeks to the end and it was great! you eat 80 grams of protein a day and baby was nice and healthy! :)
