Outings with both the girls are getting easier and easier as each month passes by. I am also learning tricks that help make a smooth process. If we are running errands and I know it's going to overlap Lucy's nap time, I plan for it. I either bring extra snacks or I bring toys she hasn't seen in a while.
I take a variety of puffs of all
different flavors and combine them into little snack bags so it's easier
to run out the door and throw one in the diaper bag. As well as to
always have one in the car. This has been a life savor. Buys me a lot
more time if I have to run errands by myself or just driving around
town. We love the plum organics brand. It's nice that I can trust the
ingredients without feeling like I have to double check or worry about
what shes eating.
We have a couple Itzy Ritzy snack bags which you can find here
and they are life savors. We can put fruit, or whatever we want in them
and they don't leak or get soggy. After the snacks are gone we can put
wet clothes or whatever we need a paci or even headbands. We just throw
them in the wash and they are good to go.
While
running errands we always keep a bag of toys that stay in the car so
she is excited to see them. Snacks as well are always being devoured in
the backseat. The other day I opened her door to get her out and I saw
this.. I felt so lame.. like I am that mom that has the filthy car. All I
could think about it is scene I think from dumb and dumber where they
open the door and piles of junk food wrappers fall out. maybe it was a
diff movie?
this was cleaned the second I got her out of the car.. yikes!
What helps you get out the door? Would love to hear how you mamas plan and prepare for the day.
I'll be talking about Diaper Bag essentials in the upcoming post :)
