Summer Time

Summer is flying by, It's the second week in July and that just blows my mind. My husband and I keep telling ourselves there are not enough hours in the day. We have too many projects to get done and not enough sunlight. We have been hard at work {when I say we I mean Alex} trying to get out backyard all put together so we can enjoy it before summer is over. 

We were invited to the Rogue's game a semi pro baseball league that plays in our valley. We had a BLAST Lucy was the life of the ball game. They would play little bits of music between batters or switching outfield to batting, and if someone hit a home run or made it somewhere and every single time the music would come on Lucy would loose her marbles and start dancing. They have a mascot and Lucy for the first half of the game kept a real close eye on him. She's not too keen on mascots.

Sunday My bestie had us over for a pool day and snacks and dinner. Both our hubbies were at work, so we made the most of it. We had so much fun relaxing while the girls played. Ellie passed out on the lawn chair and so we were able to really just talk and catch up. It was SOO SOO relaxing. Oh and she's a girl after my own heart with classic style diet coke! She's such a good mama. The girls snacked pretty much all afternoon, Lucy was spoiled.

 Swimsuit

I am loving white one pieces lately. I mean white is not a slimming color by ANY means. But I wanted to try it out. I decided that I liked it on me, and threw any self consciousness out the window and just enjoyed the day instead of worrying about how I looked. One pieces are typically known as mom suits but they surely don't have to be. Whatever makes you feel good. I have a couple two pieces for this summer but loved this one. I debated This one but figured the one I bought was more classier. 

 Something I am working on in Lucys room. We haven't transitioned her into a big girl bed. Honestly she does so well in her crib, I am not going to rush it. But I am working on putting her room together. I need to order more prints from printstagram so that way I can add to her heart. that will go above her bed.

You know you are a parent to a toddler when you have to pull over and have a time out next to a random building on the way home. Baby girl is learning. We are so pleased with the response we are getting from consistent discipline. This picture tho.. cracks me up. She is screaming her lungs out and Alex is standing there like yup.. this is happening. 

I took Lucy on a little date the other friday. It was so much fun getting uninterrupted time with her. I was able to listen to her just babble and talk and watch the world go by without a care in the world. I had so much fun. Warmed my heart and aloud me to see her in a new light. 

Have you jumped onto the flamingo craze? What about the pineapple craze. I am loving both!!!! We have the WORST lighting in the girls bathroom. But their bathroom is white and pink flamingo. They crack me up every time I go in there. Lucy every morning when we brush our teeth says hi mimingo. Puts a smile on my face EVERY. DAY.
