Earlier this week my mom and I took the girls for a walk in the neighborhood. We were pleasantly surprised with all the fall & Halloween decorations out. Lucy was loving pointing out all the skeletons, ghosts, scare crows, pumpkins etc. She LOVED LOVED however the ghosts hanging in the tree. Now I am not usually the time to decorate for Halloween per say but I couldn't resist making this project with her.
You probably remember doing this craft as a kid and remember how easy it was to put it together. So I will just show you what we did to create our friendly ghosts.
Materials:
1 Yard White Fabric (I got mine from Joanns for 1.99 a yard)
1 Yard Tulle (Joann's 1.99 a yard)
Large Styrofoam Balls
Googily Eyes
String or Fishing Line to tie & hang them
Scissors
Hot Glue Gun or Fabric Glue
Cut the yard of fabric in four sections, do the same to the tulle.
Once you have your four sections take one piece of each and put them together. I didn't line them up perfectly I liked the look of the tulle showing. Place the Styrofoam ball in the center and wrap the fabric around it. Viola!
Once you have the fabric wrapped around the ball let your littles tie the fabric around the ball. I tied it once just because Lucy is still a little young ;) But if your kids are older let them do it :)
Once you have wrapped all four ghosts and tied them. It's now time to add the eyes ;)
I used a hot glue gun to glue the eyes on.
You can add mouths to your ghosts if you'd like, I liked it without.
And there ya have it. Your cute little friendly ghosts that are pretty simply and crazy fun to make.
