Weekend Festivities

We had a pretty fun-filled weekend over here. it's no secret I love this time of year, because I've said it 900 times. My parents always made the holidays oh so special for me and I am on a mission to do the same for my kids. While it may be over the top to go to the pumpkin patch every weekend to some it's really fun for us. We have many pumpkin patches around our valley. So it's really fun to go to one pumpkin patch a weekend and enjoy the festivities each offer. Also in Oregon it is just stunning out right now and I really can't be outside enough ;) Except when it's 90+ degrees outside, then I am inside hating life ;)

We started the weekend off on friday night with a hometown football game. The high school I went to is currently undefeated. They are a really good team this year and it is very entertaining to watch. The girls have so much fun going to the games too. My parents load them up with all sorts of snacks so they do really well. Lucy usually has to go to the bathroom 10 times but other than that it's a really fun thing we do whenever there is a home game. My mom works at the high school, and she usually has to work at the ticket booth selling tickets so we get to say hi to her before the game starts.

Saturday we got out hero back. As soon as he walked through the door we were out again heading to the pumpkin patch. Lucy has been begging us to ride ponies for the past couple weeks. She loves them so much. The first pumpkin patch we went to last weekend usually has them but they for whatever reason decided not to do that this year :( so we had to find a pumpkin patch that offered that. And boy were we lucky. There was a pumpkin patch that we usually visit and they had pony rides. We had one VERY happy 3 year old.

After the pumpkin patch we went home and took some good long naps. Once they woke up from their naps we headed out the door to a birthday party. Williams birthday party our good friends son. We always love any excuse to spend time together with them but celebrating their sweet boy was so much fun.

After the party we were on our way home and noticed a festival going on literally down the road from our house. Um.. yes please! So we changed into some warmer clothes and joined in on the festivities. It was a scarecrow festival. You could buy supplies to make your own scarecrow. We had so much fun looking at every ones scarecrows. I asked someone to snap a picture of us, and Ellie's face is just priceless. Made us laugh so hard.

After the busy busy day we had we RELAXED on sunday. I cleaned our house really well and organized it. You know when you go so long with the business of life and there's stuff just everywhere, nothing is where it usually is at. That's how our house was. We've been going since Lucy's birthday. Felt very nice to just chill. We ended up at a park in the afternoon and then to my parents for a family dinner, such a wonderful sunday.

Lucy was picking leaves off the tree and handing them to us. We did this for about an hour. We sat in the shade and just enjoyed the views. Gorgeous sunday together.

All in all a weekend for the books. So thankful I get to make these memories with my little family. I get the greatest joy looking back on these photos and remembering these days with the girls this little. I know soon the pumpkin patch with the parents will be the lamest thing in the world to them. So until then I will overly enjoy it

Hope you all had a lovely weekend with your loved ones
xoxo
