Our Weekend

Our weekend was pretty uneventful compared to past weekends we've had. Alex worked a majority of it and the kids and I took it easy. We had some family in town that we were able to visit with & did some MAJOR cleaning and organizing around the house as well as putting more Christmas out. It was particularly low key because Friday all the kiddos got shots at Liams well check visit #awesome

It was my biggest fear being at the doctors with three screaming kids and I am so thankful Alex was there to help, as well as their doctor and 2 nurses. Random fun fact about me. When I get embarresed or uncomfortable or anxious about anything especially in a public setting I start sweating. Maybe this is everyone, maybe not. Safe to say I was drenched after their appointment. Such a small room, three kids screaming and 5 adults all crammed in was a bit much. It was quite comical as the shots started with Liam and he got 4 :( we warned the girls that they were getting shots as well and Lucy hardly batted an eye and said OKAY and went back to coloring. Ellie watched Liam get his and her face dropped instantly as she knew it was her turn next. As soon as Alex started laying her down she held on to him for all her life, we had to pry her off of him she was so strong it was impressive. They gave her shot fast, she screamed for maybe 2 minutes and I had Liam, Alex was holding Ellie and we both looked at Lucy whose face was completely pale and she was ready to BOLT through the door. The nurses started walking over to her to grab her and she lost her marbles. Her scream is unreal. So we have Liam crying, Ellie crying and Lucy screaming and the other kids are most likely crying because Lucy's scream is so loud and terrifying. The doctor and nurses walk out like okay have fun now, take your time leaving. As if to say get your (****) together before leaving :) So we finally bribbed the girls into settling down with happy meals and Liam fell asleep in his carseat. We got the girls Lunch I stopped into Old Navy on the way home and did a little retail therapy and we were on our happy merry little way home ;)

Needless to say the rest of the weekend we stayed pretty low key.

The girls have a ballet recital on saturday and we've been putting in lots of work for it. This past week we went to ballet 3 times. I can't wait for the show and the girls are super excited for it as well. The girls have already requested flowers after the show from everyone coming.

Saturday we had a whole lot of sass. So not much documented there. It was a long day filled with two toddlers trying to stay occupied.  We decided to bake Alex a pie because I was feeling like a crummy wife. Finding a balance between being a wifey and mama is hard some times, and the hubby has been EXTRA busy so needless to say i wanted him to know he's loved.

Sunday I thought it would be a good day to snap a photo for our Christmas card. Or at least just try. As we were getting ready I was putting on my dress and I couldn't get the zipper up. It wasn't too small the zipper was deformed in a specific spot. So we finally got it up and then it started opening where it was deformed. Alex tried zipping it down and back up again and it broke. Yeah made me feel like a cow. With nothing else to wear and the family in the car all ready to go content and happy I had no other choice but to safety pin the back and just go with it. I was so bummed because I loved the dress, but the shop I bought it from was SOO kind about it. We were able to snag a few photos  but I don't think we snagged the christmas card photo ;)

Still can't believe these three are mine

Sunday Afternoon Lucy's little boyfriend came over for a park date. They had a lot of fun running around the field near our house and Ellie was an excellent third wheel. We took full advantage of the super nice weather.

    1. Thank you, you are so kind :) the Doctors office was crazy for sure but no matter how many kids you have it's always hard being the parent with the screaming kid ;)
