Weekend Recap

We had our hero home ALL weekend. It's not very often we get to have him home for the whole weekend usually his days off fall on random days like mon-thur or something like that. I always feel extra normal when he has a weekend off. 

We started the weekend off continuing to look at flooring. We are so close to putting in new flooring and I officially have the green light from the hubby but now of course I can't pick the right flooring. it is one of the hardest decisions. I found exactly what I wanted but can't actually find it if that makes sense. We have looked all over locally as well as online and it's so hard to find the perfect one. We've ordered so many samples online but the samples are very hard to tell. We've found the best way to really get a good idea of what it will look like is to actually buy a whole box and lay it out. that is what we did here. This is not the color I was going for AT ALL but somehow I was really drawn to it. It gave me a anthro vibe that I of course LOVED. 

Stockings

Saturday we decided to have some fun, put the chores and errands on the back burner and just do something for us. We had a really hard long week (more on that in it's own post) and the girls deserved some spoiling. We never really spoil the girls in toys they get little things here and there but mostly just from their birthdays and christmas etc. or special occasions. If we do buy anything for them it's books. They love books. We took them to a little childrens store and let them pick out what they wanted. They had the biggest smiles on their faces. It warmed my heart. And guess what they are STILL playing with those toys this morning going on 3 days strong.

Saturday afternoon I did THIS

When you are up all morning feeding a baby naturally you are STARVING by the time breakfast rolls around I made a big sunday breakfast for us. 

Sunday my sweet inlaws offered to take the kids for the afternoon so we could have some time to chat and be together. This has been such a lifesavor lately. I have lists of things I want to talk to Alex about because there is NO TIME with the kiddos running around all the time. Whenever we try to talk we get interrupted or the kids start acting up because we aren't paying attention to them. SO we have decided to save big conversations for after bedtime or a date. We dove around the country a little bit and went down the list chatting about everything. Oh and stumbling upon adorable houses like THIS

 Big Sister status. The first time the girls fed Liam a bottle. They have been so curious about breastfeeding and they have asked to feed him many times. They were so excited to finally get to do it.
