Picky Eater

Lately we've had quite the picky eater on our hands. It has been super frustrating when we make her these big meals and she doesn't touch it. Has anyone else gone through this?

She has just a few things that I can guarantee she will eat those being: chicken nuggets {all natural, organic kind- to ease my worried mama brain} macaroni, meatloaf cupcakes, chicken Parmesan, potatoes, spaghetti {mostly just eats the meat}

That's about it, I am sure I've missed a few things that she will eat.. but for the most part that's all we eat anymore. I was starting to get worried that she was loosing nutrients because she wasn't getting enough protein and combinations of her daily food groups.

Insert spinach berry smoothie :) she will literally drink 10 ounces of this combo! We have a ninja, and I throw in {with Lucy's help} a oversized handful of spinach, a splash of orange juice, a whole banana, and a package of organic frozen berries. I blend it all up and she goes to town! I can rest assured that she is getting protein from the spinach, potassium and vitamin C from the fruit, banana and orange juice and a full belly from the yummy smoothie.

The picture is enough for the both of us!! But if you were just making one you can follow my thrown together recipe ;) hope this helps if you have a picky eater on your hands too :)
Us mamas got to stick together, right?

 That cup was filled to the top :)

  1. Love this idea! Carson has been sooooo picky lately and won't touch veggies. So I'll definitely have to try sneaking them into a smoothie for him!

    1. I've been reading up on it, and it's totally a phase, but they say to try to sneak in the veggies so they don't loose the taste of them! I guess this is when our job gets harder in the kitchen ;) hope he likes the smoothie, Lucy loved it! You can always add a little more oj too ;)

  2. Amen for mama's sticking together and picky eaters. Seriously it drove me BONKERS. Sometimes I'd cry, call the dr and email friends and make sure something wasn't wrong with ME. They all said the same thing. They will eat when they're hungry. Well Noah lived off cherios, and very LITTLE water/milk for the longest time. And the whole "forcing" him ... that didn't help either. So instead of making matters worse and trying to MAKE him eat what I thought he should have. I just let him do his thing and eventually it worked itself out. Idk what will happen in the future though. This is a great recipe for a yummy smoothie and I am going to use it! Good luck mama!
