House Progress

We like to drive by our new home like once every week or every other week to see what progress has been made. We also like to see how the neighborhood is filling out. There are quite a few empty lots still around our house, so it's fun knowing what to expect as far as neighbors and when.

We share a wall with neighbors right now, and we are SOO over it. Needless to say I've been praying for nice quiet neighbors ever since we bought our home. Oh and no loud barking dogs ;) I am so paranoid when it comes to loud noises when Lucy is sleeping, I don't want ANYONE or ANYTHING waking up my girl. I've mentioned before I am pretty sure the garbage man has a radar for when Lucy sleeps. Another thing I am thankful for is no more dumpsters, we get our own garbage and recycling - I am such a dork, but it's truly the little things in life that make me excited, like a GARAGE! We will have our own covered space to park our cars!! Its just pretty awesome. We have been living in our house now for 4 years, we are RRRRRRREADY for our own space!

So here is the updated look. We have a frame!!!!!
The house next to ours was just foundation when we bought our house, so it has been encouraging watching the progress!

I cannot believe the progress in such a short amount of time. It is truly amazing. I am so excited to see it start to look more and more like our home

These pictures are taken from the street behind us because there are like 900 trucks on our street you cannot drive through or even get remotely close, but we aren't going to complain the more people working on our home the sooner we get to move in :))

As always I like to leave you with a few pinterest inspired looks I have found and dream to do to our house!!

I am loving the farmhouse sink. It is one of the first things we want to upgrade in our house. Even though for now our cabinets will be dark for a little while eventually they will be white and it will look very similar to this.

We both really want to add brick to our bedroom wall. I am a little worried about the resale value if we were to do that. I mean I totally love the look, but I don't know if it is worth risking our value. This is a maybe.

We are also discussing how this summer will go. Our backyard will not be fenced or landscaped until we do so ourselves. I want more than anything to have grass for Lucy to play in and maybe a little play structure for her. I am just imagining us sitting on the back patio watching her play away, while baby E just hangs out with us. We will see Lucy may be playing in dirt for this summer :/ but we will be thankful non the less for that dirt ;)

Hope you guys are enjoying following along our journey of our dream home being built. We are completely over the moon.
