Here we are 10 weeks post partum and each week that passes by I feel more and more closer to pre-baby body. Looking back on pictures I remember during the time not being very content with my pre-baby body, how I wish I could look like that now ;) funny how we are never truly content with our bodies, there is always something to pick apart that you don't like. You see a picture and hate your arms, you look at yourself in the mirror and hate your highs or hips, it's a gnarly cycle. What if we could see ourselves in a way where we were content with everything, unrealistic? Maybe, but I am going to try to find ways to love every ounce of how God made me. I mean he spent some time creating who I would be, and how I would look, and the things I would do, so I should appreciate that and do my best to keep who I am happy and healthy.
Now a few things have changed in our little family's diet. My husband is becoming extremely allergic to tomatoes, now he has extremely bad allergies as it is, so the allergist doesn't believe it's tomato's itself but a combo of both pollen allergies and tomatoes. In the mean time we cannot eat them, that means no spaghetti, stuffed peppers, PIZZA, certain salads. You may think well that's not too bad, but believe me tomatoes are in everything. Even going out to eat when we ask, their usually like well we saute our meat in tomatoes, well can't go back there. It's not too bad, we haven't had pizza in a LOOOOONG time, so that's probably for the better ;)
With that being said, and with the nice summer weather we have been eating Chicken Salads a LOT! We aren't sick of them yet, and we like that because it's easy to prepare and yummy. I usually grill up extra chicken for salad the next day or to put in a bowl with some rice {rice helps with milk supply, BONUS} and a little bit of sauce and it's a perfect little lunch bento. I've been eating a whole cucumber a day ;) and lots of other fruits and veggies. I really don't eat processed foods at all, and drinking a TON of water each day :)
Hope this helps any of you who are also trying to get your pre-baby body back, just learn to take one day at a time, and find contentment in little victories weather it be going for a walk or run, or loosing a pound or drinking a liter of water, find the victories in each day and throw aside the negativity ;)
Here's a typical lunch for me.
A little snack I made while cooking dinner ;) Isn't this organic cucumber HUGE I was laughing so hard, I couldn't even fit the whole thing in the picture.
