Honestly I cannot believe that is has been 6 {almost 7} weeks since we welcomed sweet Ellenah into the world. Life seems to be on hyper-speed lately. We have been running around like chickens with our heads cut off trying to get everything organized to close on our house, as well as packing/cleaning our current one. You can say it has been BUSY.
With that said I have tried really hard to resist eating poorly or skipping a workout just because we are busy. In fact I feel like doing both has kept me from getting overly stressed out or anxious. It is amazing how great you feel when you stick to what you've been doing. I had my first burger the other night from a restaurant and I felt so heavy and weighed down after eating it. I was excited though it was a good sign that I've been sticking to a good healthy diet.
Exercise has been as much as I can and that means maybe a run, or maybe a walk up a hill, or possibly just a few at home mommy exercises. Whatever it is, I try to do something once a day 5 times a week. One day may be free weights and at home exercises, the next will be a walk up a hill, the next could be a morning run with the girls whatever it is I just do it! : )
As far as it effecting my milk supply I havent noticed a difference so I will keep you posted on that. I am getting about 8 hours straight of sleep at night and 10 total which helps and drinking PLENTY of water. Which my dr said is most likely the reason my weight is not dropping, He said it most likely wont drop completely off until after I stop breastfeeding. I am okay with it.
Here's what I've been eating
Hard Carbs {oatmeal, rice & bread}
Protein {Chicken / Turkey}
Fruits {anything}
Veggies {carrotts / cucumbers / green bell peppers / spinach / kale}
I really stay away from pizza, processed foods & drinks, and junk foods I feel like it is helping so much with the way I feel about myself.
picture on the left was 5 weeks pp and on the right is 6 weeks pp
not a huge difference :)
