Every once in a while the hubby and I get to squeeze away for an afternoon. We usually trade off planning the dates. When it's my husbands turn he usually goes ALL OUT! He's always been this way even when we were first dating, it was a thoroughly elaborate date, not just dinner and a movie, although I would love to have a little dinner and a movie date here and there. ANYWAY, Alex roped Amanda my mentor turned sister into watching the girls, as well as her boys too, She has a heart of Gold. I was so thankful for her heart to give us an afternoon to go explore.
So the date started with Alex loading up his truck, I was like um.. I think I am over dressed if we are taking the truck. Little did I know we were picking up paddle boards which I still felt over dressed.
We went to this BEAUTIFUL Winery called Bella Fiore Winery in Ashland Oregon. It was a dream, kind of a drive from where we live, and tucked back on the bottom of this mountain, surrounded by a beautiful scene of grape vines & landscape.

I felt like a lucky girl wearing a fancy dress on a fancy date. My hubby absolutely spoiled me. Love that man. You did good Mr. Cummings. I know you will read this, so thank you!
Literally felt like we were in Tuscany. The romance, and the beauty of the whole winery made it a perfect place to fall in love. We had so much fun getting away and enjoying the scenery as well as yummy food and wine.
We live in the most beautiful area of Oregon in my opinion. Our temperature is perfect for growing and harvesting grapes to make wine. We have SO MANY local wineries and we love going to all of them and trying all the different wines. I am very much a sweet champagne type a girl, so I am a bit snobby when it comes to trying wines, but lately I feel like I am totally acquiring the taste of a variety of wines. I hope to get out to a few more before this summer is over :)
