Our Weekend

Haven't done a post like this in a while, for multiple reasons beyond we are busy. I remember writing not too long ago that we were busy, and thinking we are so close to a quieter season, what was I thinking. Is anyone else busy? Is it just the season? Or is this how life is going to be with two kiddos? Not saying it's a terrible life at all, it's been wonderful, just BUSY. I am thinking and praying fall brings a slower season where we can do more things as a family of four ;) lots of pumpkin patches and pumpkin carving, and pumpkin baking!

Our weekend went by SO FAST my husband had his first four days off in a month. He's been working his hiney off. He was working trades that a co-worker worked for us when we had Ellie, and then he was working OT. So it was BUSY for him which means busy for me.

On Friday my mother in law watched the girls, and we went on a "date" we both had to have blood work done, we felt like we were 90 years old. We arrived and we checked in and the lady laughed that we both were here for blood work. She said we could take a seat and then a guy walked into the waiting room and called back Alexandra.. I laughed at him like a 10 year old and then went back to my magazine. Then they called me back. Fun fact about me, I am terrified of needles so they had to talk to me the whole time while getting what they needed, she's all oh yeah I remember you, you got super queasy last time. So they talked to me and it was over just like that. The lady who was drawing my blood then proceeded to ask me if they took care of my brother already.. I was confused for a second, since my brothers don't live here, and then realized she was talking about Alex.. I laughed and everyone there laughed too. They're like well you guys kinda look alike. Um.. okay?? Pretty sure that would be impossible being that we are only 4 months apart..
While we were checking out they gave us meal coupons for the hospital, and the ladies were like oh yeah have valet park your car and have a nice lunch at the hospital on us :) We died laughing. The whole experience was just too funny!!

Our matching arm bands, and meal tickets :)

Later that evening we went to a local winery to have a going away party for Alex's brother whose going to college. I snapped this pic and I just laughed, if looks could kill right? She is the life of the party at these wineries. She finds a kid her age and instantly becomes best friends with them. It's pretty priceless. She loves dancing and there's usually always a good band playing live music. It's pretty fun. Although the night we went the music was very loud so we ended up leaving pretty early because I was so worried and nervous about Ellie's ears.

Speaking of Ellie she squeezed into her first bikini of the season. I just about died. The cutest sight I've seen. A chubby baby in a bikini ;)

Sunday we went to another winery... Wow we sound crazy.. It's honestly such a perfect date for us, our local wineries are crazy kid friendly, so we just spend a few hours there and let Lucy run around. One of the wineries you can feed fish and chickens. I mean what could be better ;)

Sunday mornings are absolutely craziness in our house. Alex was on deacon duty so he wasn't around to help get us out the door for church. I consider myself on another level for getting 3 of the 4 Cummings out the door, clothed, fed, and awake for church.

But I also consider myself one blessed mama to hold both these girls and know they are mine. Watching Lucy play in Sunday school and interact with all the kiddos is just priceless. Melts our hearts. She LOVE LOVE LOVES Sunday school.

Hope all you had a wonderful weekend xoxo
