My hubby is off this weekend and I couldn't be more excited. Not only is he off his family is in town and we are super stoked to spend it with his family. I love when the hubby's schedule lines up so his four days off is over the weekend. Makes me feel like we are normal ;)
This morning I thought I would catch up a little on the past weeks and talk about our busy week ahead. Some fun things that are happening etc.
We sold our couch this week so we have been having a fun time shopping for a new one. When we bought our couch we financed it because we were newly married and pregnant with lucy so it made sense, but it is SOO nice to be able to have the money to buy a new one in cash. Freshin up our space a little bit. We have had a terrible time trying to find the right way to place our couch to make it work in our house. It has drove me crazy since we moved in. So I am really excited for what is to come. My mom and I actually ordered the same couch.. lol but I think we will style it a little differently so no one will REALLY be able to tell ;)
Besides rearranging our living room and redecorating and renovating our kitchen and bathroom floors a little bit (say what?) we have actually been having some much needed down time. I think that is why we've been working on all these projects staying home makes you take a real good look at everything and sometimes you need a little change.
Alex and I have booked a getaway that will be in a few months and we are so excited. We usually try to do one weekend away a year. Alex' parents and my parents both are so gracious to help watch the girls. I love spending time as just the two of us.
Lucy has her very first ballet recital this next saturday. I cannot wait to see our baby girl up there. I am a little nervous that she will just freeze infront of all the people that will be there. But we will see. We've been practicing everyday and well.. I could never be a ballet instructor to 3 year olds bless her teachers heart. Learning to just be okay with the silliness and not expect anything else.
We are so excited for all fun things ahead of us. Oh and maybe some sunshine soon ;)
