Fun Valentines Day Project

Yes, I know its only Valentines day. Yes, I know the holidays are a bit overwhelming still so why are you bringing it up already. We love Valentines Day, It's the perfect holiday to make all your loved ones feel EXTRA loved.

Lucy and Ellie have some buddies we get together with frequently and I wanted to do something fun with the girls so we could get care packages sent out on time this year. What kid (or adult) doesn't love crayons.

I am sure you've seen this craft done thousands of times. I thought I would share JUST incase you didn't know exactly how it worked.

This little craft is time friendly and super kid friendly. All you need to do is get all the crayons in your house, which if it's anything like my house they are scattered all over the house and already broken and peeled off. The kids LOVE helping with this part. They do it every.single.day. anyway. We took a knife and very carefully put a slit in the side of the crayon and the girls were able to easily peel all the wrapping off and it didn't leave little rips of pieces everywhere. WIN WIN.

Once all the wrappers were off it was time for breaking. The girls were loving that. While they were breaking I rearranged them to my liking, because I am weird like that. Also making sure each pan was evenly filled with crayons.

Supplies You Will Need:

Heart (or any shape you'd like) Baking Pan

Crayons

Oven

Drying Rack

Preheat Oven to 250 degrees

Peel Wrappers off Crayons

Break them and place them in the baking pan

Place in oven for 10-15 minutes based on your oven

Let cool for 10 minutes or so

Taking the crayons out is the tricky part

My husband literally dropped the pan onto concrete quite a few times to get them out, but I am sure there's a better way ;)
