Liam is 7 weeks old and I wanted to post a little update on our little man. Six weeks old your suppose to have life figured out a little more by now. He's suppose to be sleeping great, eating great. I am suppose to be feeling like myself again and getting plenty of rest.. Well I am here to say that's not the case for us ;) Okkk not really we have some amazing days and some really tough days. I do need to give him some credit he definitely doesn't get all our time or attention. We are usually down just long enough to feed, burp and change him and then we're off to the next thing. It gets a little exhausting at times FOR SURE.
With both girls I felt like we had things under control pretty quickly especially by 6 weeks. I mean I know there is a buttload of stuff I forget about as each kid comes along. I am sure we had plenty of ugly moments with them around this age too. It is a big adjustment no matter how many babies you have already. Ellie was/is our award winning sleeper so this has been a bit challenging as he is a MAJOR mamas boy and wants to be held all.the.time. which makes things a little extra tiring. #nometime
So here we go a little update on how Liam is loving life with us :)
He LOVES LOVES to eat, and be held. He loves when his sisters come over and love on him while he's laying down playing. He loves to be swaddled TIGHT. I mean tight. He loves his white noise maker, he won't sleep great without it. He loves soft cozy blankets snuggled around him. He likes a good rock in the rocking chair. We figured out he loves baths now.. when he takes them with ME #mamasboyforever he loves a warm washcloth over his body and it melts me that it fits ;)
HE strongly dislikes (because we don't say hate :)) his carseat all though that is getting slightly better. We just turn up the volume of the music a little bit and sing some songs to him. Diaper changes.. this really hasn't changed much he still gets irritated. The process of getting swaddled always ticks him off. He fights sleep like it's his full time job.. wait.. it is. He is so tired but doesn't want to miss a wink of his big sisters screaming matches.
He's getting chunky and big and it breaks my heart. I really can't believe he's 7 weeks old. It's so hard to let go of him getting bigger. I feel like there's not enough pictures I can take or kisses I can give or snuggles I can have that makes me feel better, I just embrace them all and love on him all day everyday even if I am running on extreme lack of sleep. I love this wild and crazy life with these beautiful kiddos and I feel incredibly blessed.
