Pumpkin Patch 2016

Every year I say this, and every year it feels 100% accurate. Weekends in October are for pumpkin patches. The girls LIVE for these weekends at the pumpkin patches and luckily we have enough patches around town to make it worth our while. We thought this year we would take a little drive and go to a pumpkin patch we hadn't been to before. I love long drives in the car, no really. All our kids get super lethargic in the car and kind of zonk out while we drive, including myself.

We got there and the girls hit the ground running. They sprinted to the stacked hay and started climbing up it and jumping off. Then bounced around to all the other fun stuff they had for the kiddos. Then Lucy spotted the cow train. She was flipping out over how excited she was to ride on it. They could hardly wait their turn. Lucy had a blast, ellie however was not loving it. They all went on it though and had a blast.

We then had a yummy food truck lunch that was a major plus for me as I am always hungry these days ;) We grabbed lunch and then picked out our pumpkins. This patch was so dreamy with the fall storm in the background mountains. We did get rained on a little bit but it passed quickly and we were eating so it was timed perfectly (thank you mother nature). The girls wanted THEEE biggest pumpkins in the patch and we finally settled on one they could carry :) their best efforts to recruit someone to carry it for them failed too many times.

We had a wonderful afternoon at the pumpkin patch with Alex's parents and we can't wait for the next one :)
