HOW? WHEN? WHY?
Those are the 3 words I find myself saying all the time with a 10 month old.
HOW: is she already 10 months old
WHEN: did my baby turn into a toddler
WHY: is she getting so big
I cannot believe that 10 months ago around this time I was holding my 3 hour old baby girl, and in awe that I had a precious baby girl, and she was all mine. She brought me the greatest joy then and as the months progressed that joy and love has become the strongest and deepest love I have ever felt.
What is new this past month?: Well a month ago on her 9 month birthday she starting crawling. She has MASTERED the crawling and prefers to go all over the house. She also now walks with her
walker, or along the couch or her most favorite way having us walk her around the house.
She eats pretty much anything, she loves her food. She still takes 3-4 bottles a day depending on what we are doing and her mood. She's got 7 teeth so that helps with eating all sorts of new yummy foods. She has been loving toast, peaches, watermelon, strawberries, yogurt, puffs, cherrios, chicken, rice, cucumber, avocado, banana, and well pretty much whatever we are eating ;)
This is what a day in our house looks like on Lucy's Schedule
6:30 am - Lucy's up and ready for the day. Plays with toys and watches the news with mom
7:00am - Bottle, Toast - if she wants. Play-time
8:30 am - Nap #1
10:00 am - Snack, usually yogurt and fruit, sometimes toast, Play-time
12:00 pm - Nap #2
1:00-2:00 pm - Bottle; Play-time
2:00/3:00 pm - Nap #3 {optional}
3:00/4:00 pm - Snack; Play-time
5:00 pm - Bottle; Play-time
7:00 pm - Bath, Bottle, Bedtime
So that is typically what our day looks like. Some days if we have an event going on later in the evening her bedtime will fluctuate till 8-9 but we try to keep it around 7 - 7:30
She is wearing size 4 diapers, she is wearing size 9-12 month clothes. But mostly 12/18 month clothes. And she still wears headbands ;)
Memorable moments: Crawling down the hallway to be in our bedroom with us, and watching her giggle and smile the whole way there. Watching her stand up by herself in her crib and then proceed to jump up and down. First 4th of July with the sweet girl, and last first holiday. Watching her play night night Lucy and then watching her head pop up for us to say good morning. The screams of excitment when puppies, or dogs are around. Watching her string out every single toy she owns all over the house. Watching her face when she had ice cream for the first time. Her love for books, and how she could spend a good half hour just flipping pages.
Not so fun moments: she has bonked her head on a million different things by now. She constantly has a big bruise on her head. Watching her fall and hurt herself :( Hearing her get so mad that she is still awake and forgetting her bottle and watching her just cry the whole way home :( having to dilate her eyes to check for cataract or astigmatism {which she has neither}
mommy fail moments: Letting her sit by herself on the rocking chair while I fold laundry, then watch her stand up with her hands on the arm rest, then watching her reach for her dresser miss and smack her head on the dresser and cry for a good half hour. :(((((
Daddy fail moments: leaving yogurt with spoon on her highchair to grab his phone in the other room... the yogurt was EVERYWHERE, all over her, the floor the walls the ceiling.. you name it it was covered in yogurt.
SO now that you are caught up, here is my failed attempt to capture the little ones 10 month photos. BTW its a JOKE trying to get photos at this age.
Have a wonderful weekend ladies xoxo
