Weekend Fun

We have been a little extra busy this weekend. My husband as I mentioned a few posts ago has been working on lots of projects around the house and the biggest one right now is our pergola out back on our patio. This is a MUCH bigger project than him or I thought it would be. It has taken much longer and much more like all projects do ;)

So with that said he spent his days off working on this. It may not look like much progress at all but believe me it is. And we hope to get it finished for the most part this WEEK! EEEEK!!

Station Visits. I love me a good station visit, When Alex forgets something and asks us to swing by we are there in a heartbeat. The girls eat it up and so do I.

here's a little update picture on the pergola, by wednesday we should have our beams up and by friday hopefully finished!!!!

That night my cousin came into town and we took her out to one of our favorite wineries. I was only drooling a little bit. Fortunately this winery doesn't have my favorite kind of wine so it was much easier to not be bummed. I always love when my cousin comes to town we are about 3 months apart and I have always loved spending time with her, as we have grown up we have appreciated our relationship and friendship even more and call each other for everything and anything. Biggest thing about her right now is she's marrying her dream boat in september and we couldn't be happier for her. It was so nice to finally meet her fiance and enjoy getting to know them as a couple.

Saturday the girls fell asleep in the car while we were running errands so we decided to take them for a drive and let them sleep since they do not go back to sleep when we transfer them. We drove out to our local lavender festival. Even though we had gone last week we wanted to try a different farm that I heard was much more vibrant. It was beautiful, hot, but beautiful. We didn't stay long as there was ZERO shade and insanely crowded. It's quite a drive much further than I thought it would be but worth it. We bought some strawberry lavender ice cream and headed home :)

Later that evening we went over to my papas house where my cousin her fiance and us shared dinner together. The men BBQ some meat and it felt way to grown up to be serving at papas house without our parents there ;) we enjoyed it none the less and of course the girls LOVED taking a swim before dinner.

Sunday was SUPER low key and consisted of naps and laying around pretty much all day :)

Hope you all had a great weekend

xoxo
