Liam's 5 Months

Now that Liam is a week and a half away from turning 6 months I thought it would be a great time to write his 5 month post. I say it on every monthly post that I can't believe how fast it is going. it's so true though I can't help it, not just time is going so fast but his ability to do things goes so fast. At the start of 5 months I was feeling like he was so behind on his milestones. We were all super sick, and it seemed I just didn't have time to work with him on the floor. Now at the tail end of the month it is amazing to see what he can do and what he loves.

What He's Doing? Man oh man, he's a busy guy. He loves to jump or stand on his feet. He could be in a terrible mood and completely overtired and you put him on his feet and he instantly smiles. He still loves to be held more than anything. If he's being held he will not make a peep and possibly even fall asleep no matter the setting. He LOOOOOOOVES his baths. He kicks his little legs and smiles and coos the entire time. He loves taking naps, above anything else I would imagine, the kid sleeeeeps (..during the day). Loves watching his sisters play and when they play with him. He likes going on walks in the stroller, loves being worn in the Solly wrap. Loving solids and sitting at the table with us in his highchair. He rolls over as soon as we lay him down on the floor from his back to his belly but he has forgotten how to roll over once he's on his tummy so he usually lets us know how much he dislikes that part :) he's cooing a ton, found his toes and loves holding them at all times. Loves playing with crunchy toys, all the dangling rings and toys from his carseat, I love driving and hearing him pulling them down and playing with them. He has formed a love for his stuffed animals, he finds security in them I think and loves them wedged against him while he sleeps.

What He's Eating? This month we switched Liam to formula. We were all so so so sick, and I was exhausted beyond anything I've ever experienced and I figured it was just the right time. He takes 5 bottles a day and many throughout the night ;) kidding usually only one at night but since he's been sick for almost a month it seems to be the only thing that gets him to go to sleep. He LOVES solids. We have tried a handful of things and he likes sweet potatoes, bananas, green beans, peaches, pears, applesauce, meat we've done ground turkey pureed with sweet potatoes, and chicken with green beans. Those didn't go over so well but we tried ;)

How He's Sleeping? Hide under a rock while I type this. He doesn't.. so to be fair which I feel like I say that every time too. He's been sick with croup, cold, and a terrible lingering cough that keeps him up and wakes him up. It's been a rough one for sure. SUUUUPER rough. I've lost track of how much we get up with him we just take turns. It's bad.. I have faith though that he will get better really soon. I feel he's on the cusp of great sleep!

Where He's Going? Man we've been down in the house for a month so he hasn't gone many places. He went to his first (my first too) dodgeball tournament which he rocked, he went to church a few weeks in a row, he's gone to the doctors office (for Lucy) more times than I can count. Well that's about it. This month was kind of a bust.

What He's Wearing? Liam is in size 3 diapers, he wears size 0-6 month clothes. Size 6 month jammies. I buy some of his tops in the 12 month like the one he's wearing below and they fit him great!

Liam Isaac what can I say, you are one of a kind. You give us a run for our money but always swoop in and steal our hearts! You are the sweetest thing in the world, I kiss your chubby cheeks all day long and squuuuueze you because you're so cute!!!!
