Eye Doc Appointment

Last Tuesday we went to the eye doctor for Lucy. She is very loved at that place, every time she walks through the doors most of the receptionists ohh and ahh over her. She absolutely loves every ounce of the attention. As mentioned in my last post we were 40  minutes late.. No bid deal right? Yeah we waited a while to see the doctor ;) But happy non the less they didn't charge us hundreds of dollars because we were late, and happy that we were able to keep the appointment.

A little update on her hemangioma. For those who are new to the blog. Lucy has a hemangioma on her eye. It is a form of birth mark, and it will go away with time. It has already made tons of progress. It use to be bright red and puffy like the color of a strawberry. Since we started using a few ointments twice a day it has significantly decreased in size and color, which is really great news. It will continue to decrease in size and color as she gets older and as the medicine continues to work. I am so thrilled with the way it is looking. I hardly notice it anymore.. but that doesn't mean everyone and their mom has stopped asking about it. We have stopped letting it get to us, and have WAYYYY better attitudes when people do ask about it ;) thank you LORD! There for a while I was afraid of the next person who stated that she had a black eye.. or said "what's on her eye????" It has really taught me to THINK before I SPEAK!!! As well as having patience for those who haven't learned that lesson ;)
