As previously mentioned in my last blog post we got super busy this weekend switching out dressers, and organizing everything we have for baby E's new nursery. When I say "nursery" I mean corner of our bedroom ;) I just like the way Nursery sounds better than our bedroom.
We put together her crib and although I LOVED it, it just looked so sad without a mattress and blankets around it. So we quickly ran into town and snagged a mattress pad to lay on top and dressed it with the amazing gold polka dot sheets my mother in law made. I had a lot of ideas as to what I would do with the rest of the crib. I really wanted to make new bumpers for the crib {even though so many people frown upon bumpers}. I just love bumpers, I feel like it brings security to the little ones. Lucy had bumpers and she never got close to them for me to worry about her suffocating. It helps having a video monitor too ;) But the more I started thinking about the bumpers, I just couldn't find a fabric that I LOVED. So for now the crib will not have bumpers. I still need to get a gold pillow and a pink flower pillow like the one in this picture
I thought I would show you all a little sneak peek since it is no where near being finished or ready.. I still need to find frames for prints that we ordered. As well as getting her gallery wall organized. I have been having a hard time justifying putting everything together fully since we will be moving. Seems like I would just be ruining our rental walls even more :)
Stag Head
I finally painted the stag head gold. Need to glam up the rest of her dresser with some other fun stuff.

As I get more and more things for baby E, I am finding myself more and more ready for her to be here. And then Lucy gets sick and doesn't sleep and I am wishing I could go back in time and spare myself a few more months ;)
Hope you ladies have a FABULOUS Monday!
I love it! We are in the process of putting nursery together too! (Once we move the old guest bedroom mattress out of the way!) Everything is ready and waiting! I'd love to know where you got some of your items from. Please share their links?!
ReplyDeleteIt's so much fun putting another nursery together isn't it ;) I couldn't hardly wait!! Most of the items pictured were hand made. But I did provide just a few links. The crib sheets were made, so I put a link up of similar ones. I made one pillow and the other is from TJMAXX, going to pick up a pink flower one from target this week too, so check there for good pillows. The floral blanket I made as well, I tried to find one similar and I couldn't. If I run across one I will send it your way :)
