Some days I could use just a half hour of time to clean or pick up toys while these girls are busy working on something else. If I could just organize and clean my kitchen for the day or if I could just pick up the toys that are sprawled out all over the house before it gets worse then I will feel like I can control a little more of the mess before it gets worse. I have been trying to come up with ways to keep them occupied while I do that. A big one for me is my kitchen area. It is where we spend a majority of our day making food, eating food, cleaning the food off all the square inches of it. Keeping the kitchen clean and organized keeps me sane. Lately I have been putting the girls in the sink for a sink back while I clean up the kitchen, sweep & mop or prep food for the remainder of the day etc. It is a life savor for me and the girls absolutely love it.
When the hubby called and said he wouldn't be coming home today putting him on a long 72+ hour shift I immediately knew I needed to get the house in order to prepare for the lack of help in the coming days. I decided I needed a little extra time to be able to just knock out a bunch of chores so I grabbed our handy bath crayons and they went bonkers. We usually don't do bath crayons unless the hubby is home to help scrub the bathtub afterwards and lets face it this mama did not have the energy to do that. I threw them in the sink with some bath crayons and 45 minutes later I had everything done I needed to get done. PRAISE THE LORD!
If you have a love hate relationship with the bath crayons like me try using them in a different location. We use them in the bath, in the sink, in the water table or pool. You can use them everywhere and they really do wash right off, I have yet to run into a problem with bath crayons leaving stains on the tub. We use warm soapy water and a sponge immediately after the bath and it comes right off. These bath crayons ARE BPA free which as you know is huge for us since the little ones put everything in their mouths.

ReplyDeleteWell these girls ARE pretty petite ;) But I am really thankful for it. We will be updating the sink soon so hopefully we can have even more room and we can keep having sink baths ;)
