Fall Goodness

It's almost September 1st and that officially means I can start talking all things Fall and it's acceptable. If you are like me then you know what I mean. I am a fall and winter fanatic. I may have already gotten out the fall wreaths and garlands. My mom always made the holidays so fun and magical. Some of my favorite memories come from the fall and winter seasons. In Fall especially she would decorate the WHOLE porch. So many wonderful memories. My goal is to give my girls those same wonderful memories. I get so much joy out of watching them light up over the little things. 

One thing that has been so much fun for us to do together has been picking fresh fruit from the orchards around us. The girls have the time of their lives getting to pick all the fruit their hearts desire. A few weeks ago we picked peaches as I am sure you remember. This week we picked APPLES. I love apples, there's so much you can do with fresh apples. I may not be brave enough to bake an apple pie but I am going to try some other fun recipes.

 As you can see the girls had no problem tasting the apples. ALL THE APPLES. As soon as they were told they could try them they started biting into all of them.. oops. We love little outings like this. We will let you know what we end up doing with all these apples.
