I've said it before but Oregon is just beautiful. We are centrally located between endless amounts of fun activities and beautiful sights. Don't get me wrong I think just about anywhere is beautiful I am not 100% biased, but Oregon just has something that makes me at peace with where we live.
Over the weekend we loaded up and drove just 20 minutes from our house to this beautiful Lavender Field. Now mind you lavender is pretty much out of season. It has a pretty short window where the color is very vibrant and the smell is fragrant. I had pretty low expectations as we were coming in at the tail end, but non the less I had wanted to go for weeks life just got in the way. Pulling up to the field I was just blown away by the beauty. The charming craftsman style house the beautiful big wooden barn, the wooden swing attached to the tree branch under a big tree and the beautiful field of lavender. The whole thing just had me.
Lucy cut all the fresh lavender herself & she was quite proud and we were quite terrified. While Lucy was cutting the lavender Ellie was eating it. The beautiful fragrant smell of the lavender mixed with the stunning mountain side views made for the perfect afternoon. While we were there we made little bags of dried lavender for our sock drawers. You could also make fresh lavender essential oils on the spot. I was really interested in that s we have been using essential oils lately. The whole scene was straight out of a movie scene. We were loving it!
Even though the color of the lavender was dull it was still the most beautiful afternoon with our little family. I absolutely love outings like these. They are so good for my soul. The girls loved every second of it as well. I cannot wait for next year.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend xoxo
And as always I have linked my dress which is currently sold out but I linked two others and the prices are amazing.

I totally missed the season for it this year, too. Where'd you go? We have so many close by that I am kicking myself for not going. You ladies looked LOVELY (as always!)
